A legislative proposal introducing mandatory e-invoicing and the National E-Invoicing System (KSeF) was submitted to the lower chamber of the Polish parliament (Sejm) on 17 May 2023.

The bill, which seeks to amend the VAT Act, can have its first reading already at the next sitting of the Sejm scheduled for the period from 24 to 26 May 2023. In accordance with the current version of the bill, e-invoicing will become mandatory on 1 July 2024, giving businesses a one-year transition period before the new requirement’s entry into force.
